CLOTH NAPKINS

Okay, let’s tackle the big one: swapping paper napkins for cloth napkins. I get it – most of us grew up only using cloth napkins when company came over. But hear me out; making this swap could be a game-changer for your wallet and our planet.

And hey, why not have a little fun with it? Assign different colored napkins to each person, or, better yet, let the kids choose their own. To top it off, they can reuse their napkins a few times before it hits the laundry.

But remember, not all cloth napkins are created equal. You’ll want to think about the feel of the fabric, the size, and how well they come clean in the wash. It could be a downer if they’re too stiff, too small, or stain too easily. Check out the table below for tips on some differences.”

The table below shows some of the differences.

Linen Napkins : These are modern-looking linen napkins. They appear to have a soft feel if you don’t mind the wrinkled look.

Dinner Napkins: These cute checkerboard cotton napkins are oversized and durable, being advertised as “hotel quality.” Available in lots of colors.

White Cloth Napkins: These napkins are a cotton blend so they will be durable, comfortable, and easy to care for (with the exception of white, which will stain.). Comes in a variety of colors.
