The real truth about housekeeping
is that it’s always going to be there, and . . .
you will never catch up.
Once you realize this,
your life will become a lot easier.
Realize that . . .
Your life isn’t about housekeeping.
Your life is about living.
What else are you doing?
Those are the important things.
Give yourself permission to let it go for a while.
Are you doing something really cool?
Are you steeped in a project that you love?
Are you creating something that excites you?
That’s much more important than keeping your house perfect.
HOW MINIMALISM CAN HELP
The fact is, no matter how little you own,
if you don’t put it away, your house will be messy.
BUT, THE QUESTION IS:
MINIMALISM CAN HELP YOU BY OWNING LESS STUFF,
so when that bomb does go off in your house (it always will)
tidying up will be faster and easier.
So please . . .
give yourself a break.
Don’t expect perfection.
LIFE IS MESSY
You’re going to need to make breakfast.
Maybe you can’t get the dishes done right now.
You’re going to need to do the laundry.
Maybe you don’t have time to put that basket of clothing away.
Maybe you just don’t feel like it right now.
It’s okay.
Let it go.
You’ll get to it eventually.
Go live your life.
